The UC launched an online information center on April 15 which provides information regarding freshman admissions, alumni success rates and faculty statistics. According to a press release, this will be used to increase transparency throughout the UC system.

“When people explore UC’s data, they will see what many of us already know: The university plays a major role in promoting social mobility among California families, and contributing to the economic development of the state and the nation,” Pamela Brown, UC’s vice president of institutional research and academic planning, stated.

According to the info center website, UC alumni double their earnings in 10 years regardless of major, while computer science and nursing major alumni are the top earners, making over $100,000 a year.

Other information includes statistics which categorize the number of applicants based on the California high schools and community colleges students applied from. Similar statistics also display a growth among out-of-state and international students in the UC system which has increased from 15 to 30 percent in 10 years.
