The UCR men’s golf team concluded their first day of play at the Texas A&M Aggie Invitational and were sitting in 13th place before the second round of play was suspended due to darkness. The completion of the round took place on early Sunday morning, April 3, and directly after, the third round began.

After the first round, Highlander Matt Lutz was in 14th place overall after shooting a two over 72. Fellow Highlanders Pachara Sakulyong and Sam Gillis shot 78 and 82 respectively. Rounding out the scoring for the Highlanders was Brandon Tsujimoto and Michael Wong, who both shot 79 for the Highlanders.

The team lead is currently held by the 12th-ranked team in the nation, the Oklahoma State Cowboys, with a score of two-under-par (-2) and their player Kristoffer Ventura holds the individual lead at three-under-par (-3).

The completion of the third round took place on Sunday, April 3 with UCR placing at 12th overall where Lutz, unfortunately dropped his 14th place spot down to 26th, tying at 224 overall.

 
The Highlanders come back on April 15 to participate in the El Macero Classic before getting ready for the Big West Championships.
