The UCR men’s golf team headed to El Macero, California to compete in the El Macero Classic over the weekend from Friday, April 15 through Sunday, April 17. After finishing the first round of the event in 13th, the Highlanders rose to ninth place on Saturday before settling into 10th overall for the tourney with a 49-over-par and overall on the day. The team was just two strokes behind 9th-ranked Northern Colorado for the event.

The event was the Highlanders’ last of the regular season and they have just over two weeks off to prepare for a return to the Big West Conference Championships starting Monday, May 2 through Wednesday, May 4, where they finished third overall last year.
