The UC Riverside women’s tennis team (3-14) was defeated 7-0 in its last game of the regular season against conference rival, the UC Irvine Anteaters (6-14).

In singles play none of the women were able to clinch a win. However, in doubles play, sophomore Kassie Truong and freshman Arabella Valera were able to win two of their games before being defeated 6-2 by the Anteaters’ Andrea Duva and Stephanie Hazell.

The women will have a chance to redeem themselves when they compete in the upcoming Big West Conference Tournament at Indian Wells from April 21-27. The Highlanders will be the No. 9 seed and have the opportunity to advance to the next round if they are able to defeat No. 8 seed Cal Poly on Wednesday, April 27.
